The BİLGİ New Music Festival, a platform bringing together the creative faces of 20th and 21st-century music, is being held for the fifteenth time this year. The festival aims to bring together composers, musicians, academics, and contemporary music enthusiasts who want to explore, discuss, and share innovative music forms.

This year’s festival will take place between December 10-14, 2024, and will include four concerts, each focusing on a different theme, as well as workshops and a synth fair. Among the events are “Improvisation Night,” which addresses the technical and aesthetic dimensions of improvisation; “Synthistan,” a discussion environment for a community evaluating the elements shaping music practice with a “do-it-yourself” philosophy; “Electroacoustic Intersections,” where we will discover new and different expressions of electroacoustic music; and a special concert where Diskant Ensemble, one of Turkey’s most important contemporary music ensembles, will perform the premieres of new works written for BYMF-15. All events will take place at Arter’s Sevgi Gönül Auditorium and Karbon.
