Enis Gümüş graduated from Folk Music Department at City Conservatory of Samsun –where he was born- in 1998. He had engineering education at Istanbul Tech. University, while was involved in folk and rock music activities. Between 2006 and 2010 he completed his Bachelor of Music degree in Audio Design/Composition departments of Yildiz Tech. University and Rotterdam Conservatory. Later he completed his Master of Music studies at Rotterdam Conservatory in 2012, where he studied acoustic composition with Luc Brewaeys and Robin de Raaff; and electronic composition with René Uijlenhoet.
During his studies and the following year he spent in The Netherlands as a freelance composer and musician, he had the privilege to work with many musicians and ensembles including Asko/Schoenberg Ensemble, Nieuw Ensemble and Nederlands Blazers Ensemble.
He obtained his PhD at MIAM (Center for Advanced Studies in Music), Istanbul Technical University in 2020. He is also active in various ensembles/bands as a composer and performer.
