Selçuk Canberk Dağtekin

He was born in Adana in 1990. He started playing music in high school by playing the bass guitar. In 2010, he began studying double bass with Burak Karaağaç. After completing his education in the Business Administration Department at METU, he continued his double bass studies with Burak Karaağaç in the Jazz Department at Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory from 2015 to 2021, and he studied composition with Önder Özkoç. During these years, he had the opportunity to perform in various music scenes. In 2021, he started a Master’s Program in Music Theory at Ankara Music and Fine Arts University. He continued his studies with Önder Özkoç and graduated from this program in 2024 with a thesis titled “Analysis of Vertical Structures in the Context of Set Theory in Ivan Wyschnegradsky’s 24 Preludes in Quarter Tone System for Two Pianos, Op. 22”.
